Arroyo Grande Wedding and Heritage House Wedding
This Arroyo Grande Wedding started off at the Avila Village Inn where Jess and her bridesmaids were staying and getting ready. That hotel is so cozy and surrounded by trees just outside of Avila Beach. As you can see from the photos everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves pretty much the entire time. You can tell right away how close Jess is with all of her friends and sisters, who all wore dresses by Beach Riot.
After leaving the girls, I headed over to Dylan’s parents home in Arroyo Grande where him and his groomsmen were all getting ready and exchanging gifts, hugs, shots, etc. I have known Dylan for what seems like forever now that we are all grown up. He is super close with his family, most of which gives it away later in the dancing photos 🙂 And when standing next to his two brothers, you can tell right away they are family. Dylan actually owns AMBSN alongside with his older brother Dustin and run it together down in San Clemente.
Once done photographing the guys around the village, I headed over to their Arroyo Grande wedding venue down the street at the Heritage House. Katie from Something Blue by Katie turned the property into a beautiful wedding venue for the ceremony along with all of the amazing floral arrangements by Lori Boe! So many different helping hands came through to make this day so special. Dylan’s Dad is a craftsman wizard and made this insane copper arch for their ceremony backdrop which came out perfect. Their friend Jory made a one of a kind bar wrapped in wood, their friend Josh was the officiant who praised their friends with their portrait on his belt buckle and their other friend Josh behind the DJ booth with some of the funniest and impressive skills I’ve ever witnessed. Jess and Dylan’s wedding was just perfect. From the ceremony flower canon kiss, to the hilarious heartfelt toasts, it was really a night no one will ever forget! The dance floor got wild as the night set in, and the talent show began 🙂 with a limbo-off with someones crutches, to break dancing and belting out song lyrics until the lights turned off.
To be able to photograph weddings for a living is truly amazing. You meet these two incredible people for the first time (aside from engagements) and everyone is enjoying themselves. You are pretty much surrounded by fun the entire day if you can take the stress factor out of it. To be able to photograph your friends is a whole new level. In such a competitive field, and compacted area here in San Luis Obispo- it is a great feeling to know that certain people value your work and trust in what you do, especially when it comes to your friends. Thank you Dylan and Jess for having me there on your wedding day.
Enjoy the photos!!!
