FIRESTONE VINEYARD WEDDING
I first met Sara and Jimmy at Firestone Vineyards in Los Olivos for our engagement session. We talked about their Firestone Vineyard Wedding, and what they enjoy doing together as a couple. We obviously had to share a bottle of wine since we were at Firestone’s tasting room. Their engagement session along with the photos turned out amazing! Fast forward to the wedding day, we headed down to Los Olivos. Sara and the girls got ready at a rental home downtown. Such a cute house nestled along the main street, the little town is such a beautiful hidden gem. Josh went and met up with the guys to get some photos and video of them getting ready. Shortly after we met back at the venue for Sara and Jimmy’s first look! Sophie from Amazing Day Events created an absolutely beautiful site for their reception. In addition Haute Blossoms Floral really caught your eye and captured the couples vision with stunning floral arrangements.

We love hearing about our couples proposal story and we find it really helps us get to know them on a deeper level before shooting their wedding. I really enjoyed reading how Jimmy proposed to Sara during a trip they took up to Napa:
“We had planned a long weekend that would begin in Napa and end in San Francisco. We made it to Napa from SFO in the morning, and had a day of tastings arranged. Little did Sara know that I had something planned at Scribe Winery! After a few stops at Rombauer and Chateau Montelena, we made our way to Scribe on the outskirts of Sonoma. Sara could tell I was acting a little different and slightly subdued, but I was just trying to make sure she didn’t notice the huge box stuffed in my pocket! We sat at a picnic table at their outdoor tasting room perched atop the vineyard and had a very nice tasting complete with a charcuterie board.
At this point, I knew it was now or never. I gave myself a pep talk into the mirror in the mens room and splashed some water on my face. I walked back out there, gazed over that vineyard, took a deep breath, and proceeded to partially black out. From what I can remember, I rambled some sort of speech while fighting back some tears where I told Sara how much I love her and how sick I am of her just being my girlfriend. I pulled that ring box out, spun off the picnic bench onto a knee, and popped the question! I could have sworn there was music playing or an orchestra behind me because it was the sweetest moment I had ever experienced in my life up until then.
She said yes and we both started to cry. It was an experience that neither of us will ever forget!”
Thank you so much Sara and Jimmy for having us there for photography and video on your incredible Firestone Vineyard wedding day. We loved everything about it, from the personalized hashtag bus’ to the home brew special beer! We had a blast.
